Centre marking, done properly
We've built AP Flex to make centre marking work as well as it possibly can, without compromising the quality and consistency that apprentices deserve.

What AP Flex is
Under the apprenticeship assessment model, assessment organisations are required to mark at least 50% of the overall assessment for a given standard. The remaining proportion can be marked by an approved centre where the centre meets our requirements.
AP Flex is our approach to making centre marking straightforward, well-supported and fully integrated into the way we work.
How it works
Where a provider takes on a marking role, the element to be marked is defined by the standard. For example, for the Level 4 AI and Automation Practitioner, approved centres can mark the project component.
Becoming a centre is optional.
Accelerate People can mark 100% of the assessment if you prefer, and the experience for your apprentices remains exactly the same either way.
Where you do take on a marking role, you are responsible for internal quality assurance (IQA) of that marking.
Our external quality assurance (EQA) processes and CASS requirements apply in full, and you'll need to be prepared to engage with EQA activity.
The apprentice experience stays the same
Whichever route is taken, the assessment experience for the apprentice doesn't change. The same tasks, the same standards, the same outcomes. The only difference is who marks and IQAs the work.
