This apprenticeship equips professionals with the skills to deliver and manage modern software systems, enabling organisations to release high-quality products quickly and reliably. DevOps Engineers streamline the development lifecycle by combining development and operations, improving collaboration, automation, and system performance.
They will:
Automate build, test, and deployment processes to enable continuous delivery
Monitor, optimise, and maintain systems to ensure reliability and performance
Collaborate across teams to deliver and improve software throughout its lifecycle

Project and Practical Assessment
A work-based project in which a piece of code is developed designed to meet the needs of the business, delivering real business benefit, submitted within 13 weeks of the EPA start date.
Following submission of the code and project outputs, a 3-hour practical assessment takes place with an independent assessor in which the successful deployment of code from source to the end user is demonstrated.
A 60-minute two-way discussion which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
