Assessment Introduction
This apprenticeship equips professionals with the skills to support software development, contributing to the creation of applications that meet user and business needs. Software Development Technicians work as part of development teams, building and testing components that deliver reliable digital solutions.
They will:
Develop and test simple software components for web, mobile, or desktop applications
Interpret basic requirements and contribute to team-based development projects
Support user testing and collaborate with developers and specialists to improve solutions

Project Report With Questioning
A 3,000-word project proposal designed to meet the needs of the business, delivering real business benefit, submitted within 4 weeks of the EPA start date.
There will also be a questioning session based on the project with an independent assessor which will last 40 minutes.
A 60-minute two-way discussion underpinned by the portfolio, which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
