

Assessment Introduction
This apprenticeship equips professionals with the skills to sell technical solutions, helping organisations match products and services to real customer needs. IT Technical Salespeople combine technical knowledge with commercial insight to build relationships, drive revenue, and deliver value across markets.
They will:
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions
Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while developing new business
Communicate complex technical information clearly to support sales and decision-making

Synoptic Project and Employer Reference
A business-related project testing the application of a selection of the knowledge, skills and behaviours defined in the standard. Completed over the course of 3 days.
Employers submit a reference based on their perspective on how the apprentice has performed in the workplace and how they have applied their knowledge, competencies and behaviours in work projects.
Apprentices will submit a portfolio of their best evidence which covers the totality of the competency elements of the standard.
A 60-minute two-way discussion underpinned by the portfolio, which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
Summative Portfolio and Interview
Grades awarded are fail, pass, merit, or distinction.
