This qualification prepares professionals for roles delivering front-line HR support in medium to large organisations or serving as HR Managers in smaller organisations. HR Support professionals handle day-to-day queries, work on processes from recruitment through to retirement, maintain HR systems and records, provide relevant information to the business, and support management through organisational changes. They take ownership for providing advice to managers on various HR issues, ensuring compliance with company policy and employment law where errors could expose the organisation to tribunals or legal risks.

Assessment method 1: Consultative project
Apprentices will complete a consultative project post-gateway that is relevant to the actual business and the role that the apprentice is performing. The 3,000-word project will cover the assessment criteria assigned to this assessment method and is submitted a maximum of three months after the EPA start date.
Assessment method 2: Professional discussion
A 60–75-minute two-way discussion, which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
Grading
Grades awarded are fail, pass, or distinction.
