EPA overview
Elevate your apprentices' success with Accelerate People's innovative approach to the Level 3 IT Solutions Technician end-point assessment.
This qualification prepares professionals for roles across all sectors where technology solutions are implemented to address business challenges. IT Solutions Technicians develop, implement, and maintain IT solutions that solve problems or improve existing functionality. They work across the entire solutions lifecycle - from requirements gathering and solution development to testing, implementation, and ongoing support. These technicians understand stakeholder and business needs, translate them into effective designs, create concept and logical solutions, and communicate how these will meet objectives.
Our tech-driven assessment platform delivers rapid 24-hour results, detailed criterion-specific feedback, and flexible scheduling through our industry-experienced assessors. We transform the EPA experience into a streamlined journey that positions apprentices for success in this versatile role that bridges technical expertise with practical business problem-solving.
Assessment method 1: Project with presentation, and questioning
A 2,000-word written project report designed to meet the needs of the business, delivering real business benefit, submitted by the end of week 4 of the EPA period. A presentation based on the project(s) is also prepared and is submitted at the same time as the report. A presentation with questioning session will follow with an independent assessor; the presentation will take 20 minutes and will be followed by 40 minutes of questioning.
Assessment method 2: Professional discussion underpinned by portfolio
A 60-minute two-way discussion underpinned by the portfolio, which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
