EPA overview
Elevate your apprentices' success with Accelerate People's innovative approach to the Level 4 Public Relations and Communications Assistant end-point assessment.
This qualification prepares professionals for roles in public relations and communications across public, private and third sectors, working in agencies or in-house. PR and Communications Assistants build, protect and maintain positive reputations for brands, organisations and individuals through effective communication with various audiences. They research client goals, support campaign delivery, develop written and non-written content, manage stakeholder information, and analyse campaign impact while staying informed about current affairs and media trends.
Our tech-driven assessment platform delivers rapid 24-hour results, detailed criterion-specific feedback, and flexible scheduling through our industry-experienced assessors. We transform the EPA experience into a streamlined journey that positions apprentices for success in this dynamic role that shapes public perception through strategic communication and relationship building.
Assessment method 1: Written project report with presentation and questioning
A 3,000-word project report based on an on-programme project, submitted by the end of week 12 of the EPA period. A presentation based on the project report is also prepared and is submitted at the same time as the report. A presentation with questioning session will follow with an independent assessor; the presentation will take 15 minutes and will be followed by 25 minutes of questioning.
Assessment method 2: Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
A 60-minute two-way discussion underpinned by the portfolio, which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
