EPA overview
Elevate your apprentices' success with Accelerate People's innovative approach to the Level 4 DevOps Engineer end-point assessment.

This qualification prepares professionals for roles across diverse public and private sector organisations, from tech start-ups to government departments and multinationals. DevOps Engineers enable organisations to deliver valuable software to users frequently and safely, reducing time to market while improving quality and business value. They bridge the gap between development and operations, taking responsibility for the entire process from design and build to testing, implementation, release, and continual iteration of products. By treating infrastructure as code through cloud computing, DevOps Engineers move beyond traditional system administration to create a more integrated approach to software delivery.

Our tech-driven assessment platform delivers rapid 24-hour results, detailed criterion-specific feedback, and flexible scheduling through our industry-experienced assessors. We transform the EPA experience into a streamlined journey that positions apprentices for success in this collaborative role that drives technical innovation and continuous improvement.
Assessment method 1: Project and practical assessment
A work-based project in which a piece of code is developed designed to meet the needs of the business, delivering real business benefit, submitted within 13 weeks of the EPA start date. Following submission of the code and project outputs, a 3-hour practical assessment takes place with an independent assessor in which the successful deployment of code from source to the end user is demonstrated.
Assessment method 2: Professional discussion
A 60-minute two-way discussion which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
Grading
Grades awarded are fail, pass, merit, or distinction.
