EPA overview
Elevate your apprentices' success with Accelerate People's innovative approach to the Level 4 Business Analyst end-point assessment.

This qualification prepares professionals to understand stakeholder needs and facilitate business change through digital solutions. Business Analysts work across sectors from not-for-profit to retail and financial services, investigating business situations, documenting requirements, and managing stakeholder relationships. They model business processes, determine how technology can deliver improvements, and ensure the right problems are solved through collaboration between business and technical stakeholders. Working in multidisciplinary teams, they help achieve successful business outcomes through improved processes, data, and technology.

Our tech-driven assessment platform delivers rapid 24-hour results, detailed criterion-specific feedback, and flexible scheduling through our industry-experienced assessors. We transform the EPA experience into a streamlined journey that positions apprentices for success in this high-impact role that bridges the gap between business needs and technological solutions.
Assessment method 1: Project proposal with presentation and questioning
A 5,000-word project proposal designed to meet the needs of the business, delivering real business benefit, submitted within 6 weeks of the EPA start date. A presentation based on the project proposal is also submitted within 8 weeks of the EPA start date; this is then presented to an independent assessor. The presentation will take 15 minutes and will be followed by 30 minutes of questioning on both the presentation and project.
Assessment method 2: Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
A 60-minute two-way discussion underpinned by the portfolio, which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
