EPA overview
Elevate your apprentices' success with Accelerate People's innovative approach to the Level 3 Learning and Development Practitioner end-point assessment.
This qualification prepares professionals for roles across private, public and third sector organisations where learning and development functions contribute to improved workplace performance. Learning and Development Practitioners identify training needs, design and source learning solutions, deliver training, and evaluate outcomes. They typically possess expertise in specific technical, vocational or behavioural fields, linking learning within their area to business objectives and performance. The role may focus on practical training delivery or specialise in specific areas such as learning design, e-learning, or blended learning approaches.
Our tech-driven assessment platform delivers rapid 24-hour results, detailed criterion-specific feedback, and flexible scheduling through our industry-experienced assessors. We transform the EPA experience into a streamlined journey that positions apprentices for success in this influential role that develops talent and enhances organisational capability through effective learning interventions.
Assessment method 1: Work-based project with professional discussion
A 2,250-word work-based project requiring the implementation of a learning and development solution to a real business problem, submitted by the end of month four of the EPA period. A 60-minute two-way discussion based on the work-based project, which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
Assessment method 2: Presentation/Q&A based on learning journal
A presentation based on the learning journal will be presented to an independent assessor, this will be followed by a questioning session; the presentation will take 20 minutes, and the questioning will take 25 minutes.
Grading
Grades awarded are fail, pass, merit, or distinction.
