EPA overview

Elevate your apprentices' success with Accelerate People's innovative approach to the Level 5 Digital Learning Designer end-point assessment.

This qualification prepares professionals who work in organisations of any size or sector where digital learning solutions are needed internally or as part of their business offerings. Digital Learning Designers are experts in adult learning with specialist skills in educational technologies. They scope, design, develop, and maintain digital learning materials for educational and professional development programmes, working with stakeholders to define learning requirements and develop solutions within appropriate frameworks. They provide expertise in evidence-based approaches to learning with digital technologies, enhance learner experiences, ensure accessibility compliance, and evaluate the effectiveness of learning systems.

Our tech-driven assessment platform delivers rapid 24-hour results, detailed criterion-specific feedback, and flexible scheduling through our industry-experienced assessors. We transform the EPA experience into a streamlined journey that positions apprentices for success in this specialised role that bridges educational theory with technological innovation.

Assessment method 1: Professional discussion underpinned by portfolio

A 60-minute two-way discussion underpinned by the portfolio, which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.

Assessment method 2: Project with presentation, and questioning

A 5,000-word project designed to meet the needs of the business, delivering real business benefit, submitted by the end of week 12 of the EPA period. A presentation based on the project is also prepared and the presentation speaker notes and supporting materials are submitted at the same time as the project report. A digital learning product equivalent to 15 minutes learning time is also submitted by the end of week 12 of the EPA period. A presentation with questions session will follow with an independent assessor; the presentation will take 20 minutes and will be followed by 40 minutes of questioning.
