EPA overview
Elevate your apprentices' success with Accelerate People's innovative approach to the Level 5 People Professional end-point assessment.
This qualification prepares professionals for roles that drive forward the people agenda in organisations of any size and sector. People Professionals support businesses in meeting strategic objectives through activities including talent attraction, recruitment, development and retention, managing payroll and benefits, facilitating positive employee relations, and ensuring legal compliance. They provide expert advice, coaching, and challenge to the business on interpreting policies and employment law while supporting people-related elements of business projects.
Our tech-driven assessment platform delivers rapid 24-hour results, detailed criterion-specific feedback, and flexible scheduling through our industry-experienced assessors. We transform the EPA experience into a streamlined journey that positions apprentices for success in this influential role that connects organisational strategy with effective people management practices.
Assessment method 1: Presentation and questioning
Apprentices must prepare and deliver a presentation based on their role and topics covered in the apprenticeship. The presentation and questioning will last 50 minutes with an independent assessor. The questioning will typically last 30 minutes and is designed to draw out the best of the apprentice’s competence and excellence and covers the assessment criteria assigned to this assessment method.
Assessment method 2: Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
A 75-minute two-way discussion underpinned by the portfolio, which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
Assessment method 3: Assignment
This will be assessed by the approved centre and moderated by the awarding body which will then contribute to the overall outcome of the apprenticeship and the qualification. The assignment for unit 5CO03 is the integrated assessment method and must be the final assessed unit for the L5 Associate Diploma in People Management qualification. This integrated assessment method forms part of the apprenticeship’s EPA as well as the awarding of the qualification.
Grading
Grades awarded are fail, pass, merit, or distinction.
