EPA overview
Elevate your apprentices' success with Accelerate People's innovative approach to the Level 4 Data Analyst end-point assessment.
This qualification prepares professionals for roles across all sectors where data is used to make business decisions. Data Analysts work in various departments—finance, sales, HR, manufacturing, marketing—and across public and private sectors. They gather requirements, inspect, cleanse, transform, and model data to discover useful information, draw conclusions, and support decision-making. Whether investigating social media trends, breaking down sales figures, analysing staff retention rates, or improving hospital wait times, Data Analysts help organisations operate more effectively through evidence-based decisions.
Our tech-driven assessment platform delivers rapid 24-hour results, detailed criterion-specific feedback, and flexible scheduling through our industry-experienced assessors. We transform the EPA experience into a streamlined journey that positions apprentices for success in this analytical role that turns raw data into valuable business insights.
Assessment method 1: Project with presentation and questioning
A 3,500-word project designed to meet the needs of the business, delivering real business benefit, submitted within 8 weeks of the EPA start date. A presentation based on the project is also submitted within 8 weeks of the EPA start date; this is then presented to an independent assessor. The presentation will take 20 minutes and will be followed by 20 minutes of questioning on both the presentation and project.
Assessment method 2: Professional discussion with portfolio
A 60-minute two-way discussion underpinned by the portfolio, which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
