Holistic assessment
Synoptic project
A business-related project testing the application of a selection of the knowledge, skills and behaviours defined in the standard. Completed over the course of 4 days.
Summative portfolio
Apprentices will submit a portfolio of their best evidence which covers the totality of the competency elements of the standard.
Employer reference
Employers submit a reference based on their perspective on how the apprentice has performed in the workplace and how they have applied their knowledge, competencies and behaviours in work projects.
Interview
A 60-minute two-way discussion underpinned by the summative portfolio, which involves both the independent assessor and the apprentice actively listening and participating in a formal conversation.
Grading
Grades awarded are fail, pass, merit, or distinction.
