As the Department for Education (DfE) implements significant apprenticeship reforms, these collaborative bodies have become more crucial than ever in shaping the future of skills development across the UK.

We work to ensure that each KSB is clearly articulated, leaving no room for interpretation that could lead to inconsistent assessment outcomes. Equally important is our focus on developing robust assessment criteria that define exactly how these KSBs will be measured and what evidence apprentices need to provide to demonstrate their competency. This dual focus ensures that both the standards and their assessment outcomes are meaningful and reliable.

Our focus on creating clear, unambiguous KSBs alongside well-defined assessment criteria means that apprentices, employers, and training providers all have a shared understanding of what success looks like and what needs to be achieved.

This consultation, which is part of a 5 standard consultation process, will define how assessment plans look going forward across the digital sector. We've provided meaningful feedback that draws on our extensive assessment expertise, helping to shape how this critical standard will be evaluated in practice. This direct input ensures that the assessment plan will be both rigorous and implementable, benefiting apprentices, employers, and training providers alike.
